About this event

Designed with early-mid career scientists in mind, the course covers the benefits of public engagement, what ‘good’ looks like and understanding audiences, as well as how to create public engagement activities that grow out of, and complement, your research.

This one-day course will be delivered in an interactive and participatory style, combining discussion, reflection and activity based approaches.

The course includes a networking event with local partners who can help attendees implement their public engagement plans, as well as provide guidance and support.

There is a course fee of £150 + VAT.

The course fee and travel expenses are covered for Royal Society grant recipients, including the University Research Fellowship, Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship, Sir Henry Dale Fellowship, Newton International Fellowship and Industry Fellowship. If you are eligible, please select a Research Fellow ticket.
